  1. ......I checked the threads really quick and couldn't find a straight respond. Can someone help me out plz??? In English; what does it practise, and what does it do to 1's tone???? Whatever help is greatly appreciated!!
  2. Must accept been really quick indeed. My suggestion is become to youtube, search for "envelope filter bass" and listen. Or if you insist on having the answer in words, I'll try to exercise it for you in exchange for you describing the colour red and the taste of h2o for me.

mmbongo I have too many basses. Supporting Member

  4. Substantially it's a wah that is triggered by how hard you play instead of a rocker pedal.
  5. It makes your bass get "quack" in up mode, or "dyoop" in down mode. More or less.

  7. Well I was only looking for a lil direction equally I'k fairly inexperienced with pedals. That said, here, I'll give your asking a shot: Water tastes nigh equally banal equally that jab and cerise looks similar that stuff that, I'd imagine, flowed from your nose a lot growing up after making jokes like those...... *Smartass mode always on*.......
  8. All kidding aside, it creates an envelope of audio - set on, sustain, release and cut-off. The level of effect is usually triggered by how difficult you hit the strings, light picking has petty outcome and hard picking makes lots of effect. Controls on the box volition modify the parameters of the envelope and how sensitive it is to your playing.
The link to a higher place to ovnilab is invaluable. Lots of honest reviews & info and it'south run by a young man TB'r.
  9. Imagine a wave that moves beyond the spectrum of your EQ. The moving ridge tin go in either management or either be on top or on bottom of your current EQ... and where information technology starts and how fast it moves volition determine what kind of outcome it will take on your set on. The shape of the moving ridge (sine, square, etc...) can as well be adjusted to change the sound of the outcome.

    Bo0tsy and Spectrum similar this.
  10. It does this.

Remember of it as a wah wah pedal that's operated by your attack (the envelope) -- the harder the attack, the more it goes 'wah'

  11. I CAN propose that a pedal similar the Source Audio Bass Envelope Filter Pro might take TOO MANY controls. I idea this pedal would let me save various configurations (it has half dozen banks for saving stuff like EQ settings and effects), only the sad reality is that each knob (primarily sweep range and frequency) is very touchy. If you move them to adjust one outcome, y'all might never notice that "sweet-spot" again for another effect. Some of the earlier pedals I played with were very unproblematic or had stock-still presets. I don't mind playing with gear, but I'd rather play my bass. Sometimes too many options aren't the manner to become... pedals are a great example of why. Just my $0.02

  12. I'grand not knowledgeable about effects by whatever stretch of the imagination, only I think that's well-nigh the all-time explanation that at that place is!
  13. Hey, no need to insult or threaten with physical violence. All I'thou saying is, as much as nosotros all dear to talk about audio, you can present all these answers to a person who has no clue what this or that consequence does, and and so you nowadays them an actuall sound sample and I hope it will significantly differ from what they expected. I'm besides maxim, those sound samples are easily accessible. I dare say, "become listen to the samples" works improve as the "lil management" you're looking for than any attempt to draw a new (to you) sound with words.
  14. Like, red-squishy or watery, clear-squishy?
  15. People, we've been over this, this kind of thing can simply end one way:

What'southward the best kind of squishy for metal?

  16. What they all said...^^^^^^

    Here's a tip...

Exercise NOT lick the gum of the envelope.
Use a clammy sponge or whatever you desire.

I worked for an envelope printer and got the low downwards on what happens at the factories that make envelopes.

Some of the people that work at that place spit, blow their nose mutron and moving-picture show whatsoever into the gum vats.

    Merely a little FYI.......

    Back to the topic..

    zapped777 and jwr like this.
  17. Then yous definitely don't desire to be eating hot dogs either...
